Maple Tree Terrace

This terrace was carefully built around the existing mature Amur maple at this garden near Turners Hill, West Sussex. Using lintels to avoid disturbing the shallow roots, the tree provides good shade from the midday sun and is a beautiful feature – especially in Autumn.
