About us

Guy Pollard BSc.(Hons) studied Horticulture at Imperial College, Wye, University of London. He studied Garden Design with Lucy Huntington and at Reading University. He was senior design assistant to Roger Platts (winner of numerous gold medals and Best Show Garden, Chelsea Flower Show) before establishing his own landscape design practice.

He has lectured in Garden Design and Ornamental Horticulture at Plumpton College and was planting advisor to the late Ryl Nowell at ‘Cabbages and Kings’, Hadlow Down, Sussex. He has created numerous gardens for private and commercial clients, including BBC TV.

We have a dedicated team of hard and soft landscapers who enjoy the challenge of a new project. We are passionate and enthusiastic about our work and this is reflected in the high proportion of clients who return to us for further or extended projects.

“Consult the Genius of the place in all;
That tells the waters or to rise, or fall;
Or helps th’ ambitious hill the heav’ns to scale,
Or scoops in circling theatres the vale;
Calls in the country, catches opening glades,
Joins willing woods, and varies shades from shades,
Now breaks, or now directs, th’ intending lines;
Paints as you plant, and, as you work, designs.”

Alexander Pope
